COLUMBIA, Missouri. THE USA Swimming Grand Prix held in Columbia, Mo., came to a close with quite a few new top 10-ranked times going in the long course meter books.

SYDNEY, Australia. THE final day of the NSW State Championships featured a bonanza of top-ranked times in the long course meter rankings.

TOKYO, Japan. THE second of a two-night Japanese Short Course Championships came to an end with a pair of national records being christened. Meanwhile, a handful of other world-class times were posted on the scoreboard as well.

SHEFFIELD, England. THE long course meter competition at the British University and College Championships has featured some red-hot racing thus far. With a setup that includes plenty of swift swims in the morning, as not everyone is allowed to advance to finals, being ready to go in the first session has proven to be a necessity.

COLUMBIA, Missouri. THE second evening of long course competition featured the U.S. swimmers getting back into the driver seat at the USA Swimming Grand Prix held in Columbia, Mo. A day after Canada dominated the podium, the U.S. returned in a big way with the first meet record of this year. Additionally, a heartwarming story occurred as two U.S. National Teamers pledged their love in front of everyone in the building with an engagement on the podium.

Baylor School Ladies Set National Record in 200 Free Relay at Tennessee State Champs
NASHVILLE, Tennessee. FUELED by Kristen Vredeveld's leadoff leg of 22.27, the Baylor School obliterated its own national high school record in the 200 freestyle relay with a spectacular performance of 1:31.18. That effort bettered Baylor's previous record of 1:32.63, set last year.
USA Swimming Rebranding Athlete Protection to Safe Sport; Exclusive Interview With Director of Safe Sport Susan Woessner
PHOENIX, Arizona. USA Swimming will be officially rebranding its Athlete Protection office into Safe Sport. The decision was made as USA Swimming's initiatives to protect athletes have expanded to include the entire membership as well as affiliated non-members, and not just a system to protect athletes. It also is in place to protect other members within the organization.
